- MACSSA/DHS CWB Team Call took place on 3/13/19. Minutes attached.
Regarding Educational Stability (S.F. No. 2439) – Senators Nelson, Eichorn, Tomassoni, Wiger, and Dahms have introduced this bill / referred it to the Committee on E-12 Finance and Policy. This extends the pilot for an additional biennium and for $1 million per school year in that biennium vs. $500,000 per school year that has been available in the initial pilot
Requested Actions Needed From MACSSA: Several Counties will be receiving an email from the CP Fiscal Workgroup in an attempt to gather data on the county implications for staffing and resources as it relates to the African American Family Preservation Act. Data will need to be collected with a short one-week turnaround time. If you receive this email, please make every effort to respond with your counties data. It will be critical that MACSSA have this information together for the finance committee meeting on 3/29/19.

Legislative Impacts:
There has been a delete all amendment to the African American Family Preservation Act. It removes and/or changes some definitions, removed the new state agency and felony designations for misconduct of staff. The most recent version of this bill is attached (see H0342DE1 below).
