HC Update - June 2017

Key Highlights This Month:

DHS sent out an email on June 14th regarding the Reasonable Opportunity Project (ROP) manual clean-up effort that will go into effect July 1st and will last through spring 2018 when the automated process is scheduled for release in METS

This involves ending coverage for an enrollee who has not provided the mandatory post eligibility verifications and to re-open eligibility for an enrollee who submits post eligibility verification items after the coverage ends

Counties will receive a monthly report of cases that need to be addressed.  First report will come at the end of June

The METS summer deploy occurred on June 17th and included:

Curam upgrade to Version 7.0

Work towards the full redesign of the METS-MMIS Interface

Notice work including the splitting of the Standard Eligibility Notice

Defect fixes

NOTE:  Supervisor Workspace/Org Location Structure was held back for additional work

DHS is seeking feedback via survey on the performance of Managed Care Organizations operating in each county.  Feedback needed by July 14th.  They will be negotiating renewal contracts effective January 1, 2018 to December 31, 2018 for the following:

Families and Children (PMAP and MinnesotaCare)

Seniors – Minnesota Senior Health Options (MSHO)/Minnesota Senior Care Plus (MSC+)

Special Needs BasicCare (SNBC)
