HC Update - September 2017

Key Highlights This Month:  

  • The METS Fall Release 17.3 is scheduled for September 17th.  It will include work on the MMIS interface, Notices, Carrier Integration (MNsure), Trigger of FTR via Fed Hub (MNSure) and defects.
  • DHS has exempted Non-Emergency Medical Transportation (NEMT) from the spenddown.  The systems changes have been completed and all NEMT claims should now be bypassing the spenddown.
  • The METS Program Management Team (PMT) has met twice, with a 3rd session scheduled for September 21st, for 2018-19 METS Roadmap planning

Requested Actions Needed From MACSSA:  None.

New Trends in This Area:  

Discussions on alignment between METS and ISDS continue.  Five major tracks/areas of focus resulted from a workshop in August and DHS will be seeking County involvement – primarily in the area of Definitions and Communications.  More information to come.

  • The 2017 Legislative Notice to Minnesota Health Care Program (MHCP) members will start going out this week, and will continue to be sent over the next several weeks
