Self Sufficiency Update July 2020
CCAP updates by Stacia Rosas, CCAP Supervisor at DHS:
· CCAP maximum rates and registration fee increases passed during the 2020 1st special session. The new maximum rates begin September 21, 2020. DHS plans to post the new maximum rates on theProvider ratespage on the Minnesota Department of Human Services website in the coming weeks. DHS will also publish a bulletin with the 2020 legislative changes.
· If an absent day exemption is requested, payment can be made for absent days that exceed 10 consecutive days and/or 25 total days. Absent day exemptions originally ended June 30, 2020; the end dates have now been extended to September 6, 2020.
· There have been numerous SIR postings related to processing redeterminations. It was discovered that a notice was not being generated in some cases when a redetermination is processed. As of July 13th, the issue had been resolved for Redetermination Due Dates through 8/9/2020.
· A system install was completed to implement changes effective June 29, 2020. These changes allow a child to maintain eligibility until redetermination for a child who turns 13 or a child with a documented disability turns 15. A bullet will be published later this month.
· CCAP issued numerous memos to agencies and providers related to COVID-19 changes. All memos are posted on Countylink: DHS Program Resources > Child Care Assistance Program > CCAP Updates: Memos and Bulletins.
